Chanel Anastasie Hennessy is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Brooklyn, working across photography, camera operation, art direction, set decoration, producing and experimental sculpture. Her personal work often explores themes of grief, longing, and emotional repair through photography and visual storytelling. She began her creative journey living between California and Montreal, and has continued to document life while traveling through Israel, Romania, Morocco, Paris, Italy, and across the United States.

As a photographer, she has worked across film and digital for over two decades, with her work included in group exhibitions at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography and in the internationally recognized New York State of Mind exhibition presented by TheStreetSoup in Milan, alongside street photography icon Richard Sandler.

Her production work spans multiple roles on set and behind the scenes, with experience as a camera operator across commercial cinematography and independent short films, including work with the RED Epic camera system at Ken Friberg Photography. Her producing credits include work as a Freelance Associate Producer for KOCT Television. During her tenure with Mary-Louise Parker, she produced photography, stop-motion, and video content across multiple projects. Her additional credits include set decoration and on-set assistant work with Love Machine Films.

She is part of a creative collective founded by Mary-Louise Parker and Nikki Varhely Gillingham that champions global artists and social causes.

She is currently in post-production on "Shinin’" a music video for Artist, Biz Strother, on which she served as director, producer, art director, and cinematographer, in addition to building the set, slated for release in 2027. She is additionally in development on a show for an upcoming festival in Sicily, slated for 2027.
